Hi Guys,

I need some help with some serious creaking of my new sway bar, drop links and heavy duty mounts.

I have fitted the adjustable BRS20XZ, KBR30 heavy mounts and KLC26 drop links. All purchased from PowerStation in the UK.

The creaking is unbelievable even though i have greased all the plastic bits. Matters worse, i went over a simple bump at the weekend and the sway bar ends stuck on the control arms due to the suspension travel, very very scarey.

I can take some pics and upload or post but this is very dangerous.

Has whiteline had this reported before?

Can i have a reply before a speak to Power Engineering

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your post and giving us the opportunity to fix the noise on your car.

All the parts you have installed, as listed by part numbers in your message, are correct for your car. Furthermore, looking at the pictures, everythings seems to be fitted up correctly.
Mark, there is a very simple thing that you can do to test if it is in fact the sway bar bushes making the noise. With your car at normal ride height, either on the ground, drive-on ramps or a lift/hoist, disconnect the rear sway bar links from the sway bar and rotate the sway bar by hand within their mounts. If there is no noise, then tis means that it's not related to the sway bar. If the noise is there, then it's the D-bushes on the sway bar mounts.

Please let me know of your findings, and if required we will post new bushes to you.

As for the suspension locking up on the sway bar, that is very strange. All the components are dimentionally the same as OEM parts, and this includes the lenght of the links, the height of the chassis brackets and the length of the sway bar, so should not pose any problems.

Regards,
Wojtek.
