I have an 03 WRX USA. I am having a hard time understanding all this bar diameter stuff. I have pretty much decided that the latest craze over here in regards to sway bars mainly the hollow ones is probably more than I want they seem to start out for the front at 88% stiffer than stock. I mainly drive on regular road. I hope to do a track day this year. I don't care about bragging rights over what I have under my car. I just want what is the best solution for me. Anyways I am thinking about getting a rear sway bar to start with and maybe a 22m for the front later if the rear isn?t enough. Should I get a 22 rear and if I do will it be enough if I get the 22 front later. I am trying to get rid of the under steer that I have with the stock bars.

Thanks

G'day Xwinn,

I would suggest that your research so far has not been wasted and your proposed start point being a 22mm rear bar certainly has merit. My suggestion here would be the 22mm Blade adjustable bar BSR36Z. I would then suggest the remaining components listed in the Handling Pack for the MY03 should be considered. These are, Front caster ant-lift kit KCA359, Rear camber adjusting bolt kit KCA414 and the Blade adjustable front bar BSF33Z.

I will avoid saying to much about "how it all works" and will instead refer you to a couple of links on swaybars and your car which can be found here:

I trust the above is helpful

G'day Xwinn.

It would be great to hear back from you with your first impressions in a week or so after you have fitted the bar.

Well I finnally got all the parts I needed. I also bought your end links to install. Wow! I got to really test it out this last weekend I first checked it out on an interstate change no traffic so I pushed it and what a differance. I think the BMW following me was a bit surprised too. I really felt the front push on acceleration out of the corner thou. I then spent about 175 miles on mountain back roads later that day and it really handles nice now. I will be adding the ALK next.
Thanks
Wynn

That's positive news for sure - any news on the ALK as yet ??

It may also be worth while considering the the rear camber adjusting bolt kit KCA414 and trying the wheel alignment settings we suggest on the Fact Sheet. This will enable you to maximise grip and that Barvarian wont know where you went ;)

Cheers
