Howdy All
I have an MY99 2dr WRX Sti and my dilemma is this......
Currently have:

Std front sway bar
Std struts and springs
adjustable rear (set medium)
adjustable rear camber bolts
heavy duty mounts and wire links.

next steps:
Am going to have an ALK and diff cradle kit fitted, and am likely to put the better spec bushes thru the back end.

The question.......
IF I do this, will I need to firm up the front bar??
She is currently neutral to a hint of "taily" in setup, and I dont want anymore oversteer.

Whilst I would love a set of Group4`s, the minister for war and finance wont come at that....yet.

Rgds

G'day Nick,

I think it may be worthwhile at this stage to have a look at the Fact Sheet on your chassis. (it can be found here):

http://www.whiteline.com.au/docs/fact_sheets/ck_wrx94.pdf

We maintain that it is necessary to set your chassis up utilising the components in the Handling Pack as the start point. You can then take advantage of the alignment figures we offer. Next would come some chassis stiffening followed by springs and shocks.

From the list you offered, we suggest that there would be an advantage in fitting both the ALK and front bar in your next stage of development.

With reference to the sub frame lock kit KCA750 and diff support KCA751, I refer you ro Notes 4 and 11 on Page 2 of the Fact Sheet. Reference is made to XRD products and NVH issues that may cause conflict with the Minister ;)

Hi Nick,

Regarding the ALK, this will affect your handling balance under the action of acceleration (also braking). Typically there is understeer during acceleration out of corners, the ALK addresses this and reduces the understeer. During pure cornering with little throttle or brake application your current handling balance will be present. This is purely the effect of the anti-lift characteristics.

Depending on your current balance during corner accelerations, you might not need to change anything with the ALK fitted (apart from a wheel alignment as there is a castor increase with the ALK).
