hi wojtek and team.

Its been a week since ive installed the 20/22mm adjsutable swaybar onto my 1992 hodna civic. Feels pretty good.

Problem though - i installed, drove the car for about 150km's and retighten all links and nuts.

The last 3 days of driving , i have been experienceign a loud sharp metallic CRACK during left hand turns , and also while driving up driveways etc ( as the swaybar pivots to one side) .
I had a look under a few times after this happened - hand checked all and everything was tight and nothing was loose/ broken.

What am i missing here ?
IT soudns like serious damage is being done...

When is the whiteline workshop goign to be open again for alignments etc ?

Get back to me cheers

Damn.......doesn't sound good.

Good to see Whiteline being quick to respond in order to sort this! :)

Went to whitleline, Wojtek went out of his way to have a look and fix up alittle problem - otherwise all it needed was a quick hoon and sign of reassurance.

Next up soem more chassis reinfocement for this old EG body.

Good work Wojtek :)

May I ask what it ended up being? Sounds very similar to an issue I've had since unfortunately running over a solid bit of retreat on the freeway at 110km/h :(

There's a lot of things it could be and I haven't had a chance to go right over the car yet. Its something around the front control arm on the driver's side tho. That much is obvious,

Best to bring the car to whiteline and get Wojtek to give the car a scruiterneering - and locate / isolate the likely cause.

Otherwise - front rhs alignement may of been pulled out of whack when you ran over that bit ?

UPDATE -

Wojtek , i realise i need to get incontact for you to have alook again - it wil;l be a couple of weeks as i am pretty busy !

BUT for now -

NOW , the rear of the car makes a "coil touching" noise , from the oppoiste pivoting rear side during hard / bumpy corners.
For example, hard or fast left hander pivots weight to left - noise comes from rear right hand side and vice versa.
Swaybar is noticealby not stiff during this too.

Fine during normal flat roads at any speed tho....

Im going to raise the rear one perch level to see if this rectifies the problem.

Hard left hand corner transfers weight to the right ;)

this also occurs on lefthand turns on my civic coupe (EM1). i believe my stock exhaust piping is hitting the swaybar when the weight is transferred to the right side on left hand turns.

could be a spring noise - progressive coils opening and closing. If so, try some coil-wrap.
