Good afternoon all,

I was originally looking at a 1" Addco sway bar as an effort to remove the majority of the shocking 'wobble' that the WJ Grand Cherokees are renound for.

Addco actually pointed me to Whitline products as they didn't really recommend the postage costs to Australia (exorbident).

Can someone please suggest an equivalent Whiteline sway bar (model#) and any other parts that i would be required to obtain for my 2000 WJ Jeep Grand Cheorkee?
I have found the parts on the online shop however I am unsure as to the difference of them and whether or not that are supplied with the correct bushes etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello ,

The only sway bar listings that we have for the 2000 model Jeep Cherokee is for the rear sway bar in 22mm (part # BCR14) or 22mm adjustable (part # BCR14Z). We do not have a listing at all for the front sway bar to suit your vehicle.

Cheers

Thankyou Wayne.

Can you please tell me the approx. improvement that this will give me over the factory bar? I guess I am comparing it with the 1" Addco bar that I have read a fair bit about. This bar claims to offer a 700% more resistance. As the whiteline bar is approx 0.8" as opposed to the 0.5" factory bar, will this bar offer similar results?

Could you please shed some light on this and also, could you please give me the part numbers for any additional bushes that would be required in order to undertake a complete conversion to the whiteline bar?

Thanks again,
Ian

Hello mp3ian,

Going off your measurements, the OEM sway bar is approximately 13 - 14mm diameter and the Whiteline sway bar is 22mm diameter, with this being the case the Whiteline sway bar is approximately 510 - 600% stiffer than the OEM sway bar.

The # BCR14 & # BCR14Z are direct replacement sway bars, and they come with the 'D'-bushes that are required for fitment.

I hope this helps you.
