I know this forum is sponsered by whiteline and I actually just received my whiteline sway bar today. The thing is there are these little black bits of rubber around the sway bar which are held in place by these metal clamp things like hose clamps, I have never seen anything like this before, do they need to be there or should they be removed. If there are meant to be there then can someone tell me what they are for?
Cheers

Hi,
I'll take that as a compliment.
As part of product improvement, we have added these clamps to stop the tranverse movement of the sway bar. They will line up just on the inside of the chassis mouunt bushes.

Well I installed my fornt sway bar and I have a couple of questions.
1. Which hole in the sway bar is stiffest and which is softest. My logic when looking at it was that closer to the chassis mount point would be stiffer is this correct?
2. After installing the sway bar I took there out for a run and everything seems fantastic. Until I slowed down and went over some bumps. When trveling at low speeds and going over bumps I have this terrible clunking noise. I checked everything was tight and also to make sure it wasnt touching anything it shoudnt be. All seems fine. I grabbed the sway bar and gave it a good shake and it doesnt appear to be loose or anything. Any idea what it might be?

Hi,
A simple rule to follow regarding adjustable settings, is that the longer the bar the softer it is, and vice versa. So, if you choose a hole closer to the D-bush, it will be using a stiffer setting.
I can only suggest that you re-check all fitting, make sure there is no interferance between any parts and bushes are greased. With the car at normal ride height, check the end links for any movement. To check the bushes, you can do a simple test by undoing the links (with the car at normal ride height) and trying to rotate the sway bar by hand. It should rotate freely.
Hope this helps.

Wojtek.
