basically i've got some strange creaking and squeaking noises from my integra (dc2), i believe the noises to be suspension related.

the setup is as follows- whiteline control springs, koni yellow shocks, caster kit, 22mm rear sway/tie-bar combo. everything was installed at whiteline by wojtek, so i'm guessing it was all done properly.

i took it to east coast suspension today to get a wheel allignment and have the noises checked (they're closer to where i live). the bloke looking after me wanted to remove my caster kit, as he reckons it screwed up some of the bushes at the front end and was causing the slight thud from the front end during takeoff (this only happens in wet weather).
he also said that the squeaking noise at the rear was from the swaybar, he then went on to tell me that it's just the design of the end links. in the end he seemed reluctant to do the wheel allignment for me as he thought that the bushings were all stuffed and that it wasn't worth doing. i pretty much got the usual salesman vibe from east coast, so i don't really trust them like whiteline...

on a side note- roughly a month ago, i lubed up the rear swaybar very thoroughly using rubber grease, this had no effect on the squeaking noise whatsoever so i am not so sure that the swaybar is the problem.

any ideas/thoughts?
does whiteline supply and fit bushing kits for integras??

Hi,
My original reaction was, noisy sway bar bushes which simply need to be regreased. When you mentioned that it happens when it's raining further strenghtened my suspicion, but then when you said that you have done it to no avail, I am not sure. We would need to have a look at it. As for the front bushes, yes, the caster kit does load then up a little, but we don't see this to be a problem.
Anyway, I realise we are a little far for you, but if you can come to us, we would like to have a look at your car and fix it. Give me a call on 9601-0111 to arrange a time please.

Regards,
Wojtek.

will do.

please bear in mind that i'm not in anyway annoyed with the product, service or anything like that, it's just so hard for me to book a day to get out there. believe me, if you weren't in minto i would have been there already!

if it turns out that the bushes up the front end need replacing, can whiteline supply and fit a kit for me?

Hi,
I understand. But, we're only about 30min from the city on the M5.
We do have a front control arm-inner front bush available for your car (bush OD=37mm, bolt diameter=14mm), and we can install this in our workshop.

jacked up the car tonight and cleaned off the rear springs... sprayed some silicone lubricant in there and the noises from the rear end all dissapeared.

there was quite a bit of road grime and dirt stuck to the spring, i think maybe the soft part of the spring was rubbing against itsself a little.

anyway, i'm glad that the noises have gone!

still need a wheel allignment though :)

Hi,
That's good to hear. Our rear springs to suit your car are progressive, so yes, if you had some dirt or stones stuck between the dead coils, that could be the cause of the noise.
