I have the whiteline rear strut bar for a Subaru 04 STI.

The bar because its straight and has adjusting treads at either end allows it to be positioned in many planes.

Question
What do you consider the correct. Horizontal like other manufacturers or vertical.

Putting it vertical seems to me the best for side to side rigidity.

Thanks

Hi,

If there is only horizontal force applied - no vertical component - then the rotational orientation of the alloy bar is irrelevant.

If there is mostly horizontal with some vertical force applied, then it is beneficial for the alloy bar to be positioned vertically.
