With an extra 60 hp at the flywheel (1.8l to 2.5l engine swap), the relatively pleasant handling of the standard car has become a little "exciting".

Body roll is fine, Understeer has increased, torque steer has increased, and front tyre wear (inner half) has increased. Some blame must be attributed to the right foot, but as everything else is standard there must be room for improvement in the suspension.

I thought more rubber may help but the standard Rim/Tyre combo is 205/55 15 on 6jj 15 Enkei alloys. But with minimum strut-tyre clearance (10mm front & 6mm rear) it means any increase in rim width will increase track and increase scrub radius (decrease negative).

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

G'day 2.5 30X,

I think what is happening here is symptomatic of basic laziness :) When you put your foot into "it" - it wants to just lay over a bit :)

First up - you require a rear swaybar kit BMR13.

Follow this with a front strut tower brace KSB606
Front camber adjusting bolt kit KCA412
Rear camber adjusting bolt kit KCA412 and,
Front and rear Whiteline Control springs.

Front: 746001A
Rear: 79126

You will then have a reasonably well behaved chassis that is more prepared to stand up and take notice than might be the case now :)

Cheers
