Hi there ,just a question on spring rates for rear coilovers,I want to know what spring rate I need if the rear coilovers are mounted straight up and down.
The rear of the vehicle weighs in at 630kg or 1388 lbs.
Cheers Mark

L200/Triton double cab ute 1996,it is set up for the street and I want it to handle (i wanted a project LOL). it is not used to carry lawn clippings to the dump.

I have it sitting at the right ride height but the rear end has no travel left and is on the bump stops ,so I will notch the chassis,go to 4 link and a watts linkage, and use Koni 30 series coilover shocks 5 inch travel .
The company I deal with said I should start with 200 lb spring and then they will xchange them to suite ,so the spring thing is not a issue now.

Do you think 5 inch travel shocks are long enough?

Front end has: King springs KHFS-8 ,White Line 27mm sway bar ,2 inch drop spindles, and Koni gas adjustable shocks ,all suspension bushes including steering are Superpro

no i didnt mean that, i just reckon there r other ways round it, like gettin the rear leaves set properly, u dnt hav to just rush out and get coil overs 4 ultimate handling, my mates 1 tonner is leaf rear and that handles on the track like *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored* stuck to a blanket. thats wat i ment, and to be truthfull u should hav been given all options instead of sumone just tryin to rip the cash outa ya to do d conversion.
