Hi Whiteline....

My name is Michael KASS, and I own an MR2 AW11 1987. At this
stage, the whole suspension setup on the MR2 is still pretty
stock, and over the last 8 years of ownership, I've noticed the
suspension is starting to suffer more and more, to the point
where my wife's honda Accord can keep up with me around
corners...... (88 Accord that is....)

Hence, I'm looking at replacing some of the old bushings and
suspension conponents to rejuvinate the suspension of the
AW11, and give it back it's spark..... Hence, I'm looking at
the following components.....

1) Spring (Possibly also lowering the car by about 1")
2) Shock (Stiffer suspension)
3) Swaybars (Front & Back, with new end links, bushings and
adjustable)
4) Complete new bushing set for all suspension components of
the car

Since the suspension components are in dire need to be
replaced, I thought I might as well replace and improve the
suspension setup with your line of products, as I have heard
a lot of good things from your products in our MR2 forum. :D

If you could give me any technical advise, recommendation on
the suspension setup for the AW11, that would be great, as I
could always do with a little help. :p

Of course, if you could also let me know the cost of these parts /
components, including freight that would be great.

Thanks
MIKE.

G'day Michael,

It certainly is a sad day when we hear such demoralising news - we can only but imagine your embarrassment when the Princess's Accord zooms through on the inside. As Gentlemen - we must rally to the cause to rectify this problem - now for the good news - and what ever you do Michael - refrain from informing the Accord Pilot that we have an extensive range of products to assist her in keeping up with the MR2 once mended :)

Following, please find a list of components we have for your car.

BUSHES - MR2 AW11 2 Door Coupe 11/87 - 12/1989

F Control Arm Lower - Inner Bush SPF1330K
F Strut Bar To Chassis Mount SPF1332K
F Sway Bar Link Bush Kit SPF2092BK (Included with swaybars)
F Sway Bar Mount To Chassis Bush SPF0660-_ _K 1 Measure bar diameter 17,18,19,20,22 7 23mm available (included with swaybars)
R Control Arm Lower - Inner Bush SPF1330K
R Sway Bar Mount To Chassis Bush SPF1333-_ _K Measure bar diameter 10,12,13,14,19mm available (included with swaybars)
R Trailing Arm Lower - Front Bush SPF0823-4K
R Trailing Arm Lower - Rear Bush SPF1332K

Whiteline Control Springs.
Front 80337, Rear: 78808A

Shocks.
I suggest the adjustable Koni Sports - Front 86411071sport; Rear: 86411072sport. These will work well with our Control springs.

Swaybars.
Fixed Rate: Front BTF20 20mm Rear: BTR64 16mm
Blade Adjustable: Front BTF20Z 20mm Replacement Kit, Rear: BTR64Z 18mm
The adjustable bars are by far the better choice as they will permit you to fine tune your front to rear handling bias to match your preferred driving style, tyres etc.

I have replied to your email Reference pricing etc as we avoid discussing this on the Forum.

I trust the above proves helpful in planning your strategy to defeat the Accord

Regards
Peter
