Hi,

First of all. I want to take this opportunity to thank Wayne and the ppl @ Whiteline for fitting the works kit on my magna this week. The difference is staggering and I am very pleased with the results.

I would like to also commend Wayne for his brilliant customer service and professionalism. he definitely inspired confidence and was very helpful and considerate. I am sure that other whiteline customers would feel the same.

Just one question for Wayne... after a couple of days around Sydney I am beginning to feel that the rear shock are probably a little too hard (because of all the potholes!!!!). I would like to know how much work is involved to adjust them so that they are a little softer? i am aware you would probably need to take them out. If I was to get this done at the Minto workshop would there be a charge involved and if so how much?

Once again, thanks Whiteline!

Hello Adrian,

Thank you for the excellent feed back, It is certainly gratifying to hear that you appreciated both the work carried out on your vehicle and also the service that you received.

In regards to the adjustment of your shock absorbers, I would first like to point out that the shocks that are fitted are adjustable on the rebound stroke only, in order to control the springs return to normal position after hitting a bump, however the harshness that you are feeling is more than likely due to the Bump valving of the shock. You also need to remember that the springs also have a slightly firmer rate meaning that you will feel the bumps more than previously.
It is not a problem however, if you would like me to back the adjustment off, I can certainly do that. Unfortunately we would have to charge you for the labour content involved in the procedure (you would be looking at 1 - 2 hours labour to do so).

If you would like to have the shock adjustment backed off, give me a call on (02) 9603 0111, and I will book you in.

Regards

thanks for clearing that up. after a couple more drives i can actually feel the ride loosing up a bit ... so that's good!

on the other hand, i am actually hearing some noise coming from the front (esp right side) of the car ... sort of a "croaking" sound... it's just occasional but it tends to occur when i go up my inclined driveway~!

would that be due to the front swaybars?

really appreciate your response and thanks once again

Adrian

Hello Adrian,

Could possibly be the front sway bar 'D' bushes grabbing on the sway bar, or the other posibility is that it is coming from the bushes on the control arms, due to the vehicles new lowered ride height. If the noise continues over the next week or two, give me a call on (02) 9603 0111, and we will arrange for you to come in so that I can have a look and try to rectify the problem.
