I've got a 93 Toyota Paseo which I use for racing. Currently, I have 2 camber bolts fitted on each front strut. I also have the anit-lift/caster fitted. The caster adjustment is working perfectly, there is a measured increase in positive caster.
However, the camber bolts, even when adjusted for maximum camber seem to have little to no affect on the amount of camber.
When fully adjusted I should be able to get approximately 3.0 degrees. But it appears as though I'm only getting about 1 degree.
Is there something I might be doing wrong? Is there anything I should know?
Thanks

Hello Wedge,

I think what you may be doing is fitting the bottom adjuster kit the same as the top, which in effect all that it is doing is moving the wheel track in bound and not increasing the camber over the OEM settings.
The idea of the camber kits is to change the angle of the strut in relation to the hub, so in order to acheive the maximum benfit from the camber kits you need to install the bottom kit opposite to the fitting instruction, and opposite to the top adjusting kit.
What you are trying to acheive is for the top of the hub to be pulled as far into the strut clevis as possible, but at the same time pushing the bottom of the hub out of the strut clevis, in doing so acheiving the greatest possible angle of inward inclination of the hub in relation to the strut.
I hope this clarifies things for you.
