Hi,

I know this is probably a really basic question, but i can't find a simple answer anywhere.

Basically, i've just bought a r33 skyline, it's been lowered and consequently the camber is such that the insides of the front and back tyres are both wearing much much more quickly than the outsides. My understanding is that i need some sort of camber kit and whiteline makes a good one. What are my options and sort of price am i looking at?

Any help would be really appreciated....

Hi Jom,

Your right here, cars are usually designed to have some camber gain (negative) during compression, to deal with body roll and keep the tyre tread somewhat parallel to the ground.

Lowering will generally add negative camber to wheels (dealing with independant suspensions here - axles are imune to this), and for good tracking and tyre wear, this will need to be adjusted.

We do carry front and rear "control arm camber adjust kits", with the front giving +/-1.0 degrees and the rear +/-0.75 degrees (KCA348 and KCA347), which can help this excessive cambering by giving some positive camber to bring the value back to a more practical value.
I cant discuss any prices here as this forum is a technical one, check the web store or contact our office for more info.
