Had my 1988 celica st165 geometry set over the weekend and noticed a few things which i was unsure about?

I have some Tein pillow ball top mounts, adjustable camber, and the W/Line Anti lift castor kit, KCA432, which before the change was giving me a good +1' Castor.

after the front camber was set to -1.2 the castor was almost back to 0.0..
is this supposed to happen?
would i achieve some better results if i ran just -1.0 camber at the front to regain a bit more castor?

Very much look forward to any advice

Hi Steve,

I'm not familiar with your top mounts, but your description suggests that the top pivot was moved forward. There is no other logical explanation for your caster loss, if no other changes were made. If this is true, then I would suggest that the adjustmant slot (if it is a slot type, not a floating type) is positioned at a diagonal, not at a true perpendicular to the centre line of the car.

Can you comment on this?
Do you have a photo?

Regards,
Wojtek.

Hi Wojtek, Many thanks for the reply.
Seems i have made a mistake and was looking at the wrong setting

I'm looking at ways to improve the handling on the celica st165 and have seen that W/Line sell a front ARB.
I believe it is the same thickness as the stock bar already fitted.

Would there be any gains to fitting the W/Line bar?

thanks again
