hi, since fitting the whiteline anti lift kit on my st 165 i appear to of developed anasty clonk from the front end!
sounds like its coming from under my feet when driving..

i have fitted two new lower ball joints, check tightened all the suspension parts reread and checked i have installed the kit correctly..
i haven't had it aligned yet and im not willing to until this has been sorted.
when first fitted everything was fine however.
the bushs are fitted with the hole in the bush on the outside as shown in the instructions.
the noise seems to come about not on heavy pot holes but almost when the suspension is travelling back to its correct ride height, if that makes sense..

are there any known probs with this?
i have also tried fitting another washer behind the not that holds the bush on the shaft, as the inner sleeve is shorter than the yellow bush!?

TIA

Hello,

There are no problems associated with the anti-lift kit for the ST165 that we are aware of. The only recomendation that I can offer, is to double check that every thing is tight and secured properly, then with the vehicle at ride height (on ramps or a drive on hoist) inspect to ensure that nothing is contacting something that it should not be.

Try this and see if you can develop the cause of the problem.

thanks wayne..
thinking about it i couldn't get the new shock caps done up all the way, i can still see a few threads if i lift the shock boot..
are these designed to tighten all the way up, front koni shock inserts with supplied top nuts.

Hello,

Yes, the nuts that go on the top of the shocks are suppose to be tightened all the way untill they bottom out.
This sounds more like the cause of the problem, as you said it makes the knock sound on extension of the shock.
