I've been working on my car, a Nissan NX1600 (GA16 engine) for a few years now. This is the first winter since new that it's been off the road during winter snow and salt - I've decided to start taking better care of it. I've got a suspension question. I have Ground Control coilovers, Eibach springs, Active Tuning rear strut bar, Shigspeed rear pillowball strut mounts, Progress adj. rear sway bar, Energy suspension bushings. Tires are Toyo RA-1 for track, upgraded AD22VF brakes and Carbotech brake pads.

This winter I've purchased Whiteline KCA303M (castor bushings), KSB514 (FSTB) and KSB713 (4 pt. LCA brace). I have the 303M and 514 in my hands, the 713 is in shipping. My question what do you think of the parts I'm putting together - will they make a good fit (as I am obviously hoping) as I'm trying to mould this into a great handling car.
Thanks.

Hi,
Your new Whiteline products should fit up well with no problems - this is not effected by your other products already fitted. Also, they will offer their own improvements in their own right, irrespective of the other mods. But, as you have so many different brand parts, the success of your suspension will depend on the mixture of all your parts and your suspension set-up and tuning.

Regards,
Wojtek.

Thanks for the fast response. Yes, I do have many brands. The modifications started off small and I've been adding to it - and learning about things as I go. Including products such as Whiteline. I'm looking forward to getting it together and out onto the track in May so that I can see and feel how it handles.
I'm also looking at 2.5 to 3 degrees negative camber, 3 degrees positive caster and 1/8 toe out for the front. I'm not as firm about what I need for the rear.

Just an update after two track lapping days. I'm very pleased with the way the car's suspension is working. On tracks with tight corners and short straights, my car shines. I was staying close to cars with 3 times the horsepower. The Whiteline parts + aggressive alignment I added this winter have erased the understeer problems that plagued me last summer.
Thank you!

That's fantastic! Great to hear the set-up is working for you so well. Power is only good if you can use it. Well done.

Cheers,
Wojtek.
